Heroic Jolie

Hi lovelies, I have been enjoying my holiday now... Had stressing out to get through Spring semester, but finally I had pulled it through ! For those of you who are having finals, good luck! AND for those of you who are on holiday, be safe and have an adventurous Summer 2013 !! :)

Just want to post the latest news about Angelina Jolie. I have always adored her both as a mother and an actress. She is a real role model for me despite the negative comments from the media or the public about her stealing Brad Pitt from Jennifer Anniston lol ..
But, I just want to appreciate her decision on her mastectomy procedure... She had been through a three-months health procedure and still looking like a goddess returning on her 1st red carpet with her fiance, Brad Pitt, accompanied along with her adopted children, Maddox and Pax.

If you want to read more about her recent life-decision on having preventive double mastectomy and is planning to have her ovaries removed due to her high risk of getting or developing breast and ovarian cancer, go buy People magazine or read her article on New York Times.

I wonder what's going on with Nicole Richie's new white hairdo, Taylor Swift's smoky eyes look, Miranda Kerr's murky outfit, Karolina Kurkova's sharp look... Oh it is the Met Costume Institute Gala celebrating Punk: Chaos to Couture in New York. As I am writing this , they are having a blast smooching and mingling with A-list invitation-only fellows. Or maybe , enjoying Kanye West performing on stage as the only reason why Kim Kardashian is attending this gala night and proudly instagram' ing her beau's performance and her pictures on red carpet.

Private Showcase with Avril Lavigne at The Viper Room, Hollywood

TGIF??! Thanks God it's Thursday!! I have always been loving Thursday, because it is after all, the last day of my classes during the week. Sometimes I still gotta go to school on Friday morning due to my project for a non-profit client! At least, on Thursday, it's when I can sweat all the stresses out at the gym. Every Thursday night, I usually have my cycling/ spinning class and then, some pilates movements if I am not tired after cycling :)

But today, around 11a.m. I got a surprise email from Avril Lavigne's marketing manager or whoever handle the media / marketing! I was invited for a private showcase to see Avril Lavigne's live performance on Sunset, Hollywood !! I was all smiley and happy like a little kid who just won a lottery or something worth of a value! Can't deny it, I have always been a fan of Avril Lavigne. She makes great music , easy to listen to whenever I am down or just want to get my "rock chic" mode on ... You know what I am talking about ! She makes us feel so carefree and "careless" through her music !

Well... I had such a great time tonight and I had to see her singing and performing (just the way she are - punk rock chic) ! I felt so happy and still am now.. Whenever she sings some of her famous songs, it always brings me back to my high school memories ! So here's a great start to the freaking weekend and here's to never growing up guys! :p

Sorry for the bad quality of pictures. I can't take my dslr of course, there were many bodyguards in front and asides too, since I was standing close to the stage :) So Iphone is my only way to go to capture her moments on the stage ! :) Look how excited she was on the stage ... I also saw her engagement ring, it was super big, and it's blinking bright !! Too bad I didn't get the chance to shake her hands after :( because fans started moving forward and raising their hands up to shake or at least touch her ...
